“…he is a creative writer of intelligent lyrics, and on this sample of his work presents us with a variety of styles ranging from gentle rock to country blues, from atmospheric meditation to blatant tall tales. The songs are interesting partly because each is so different, partly because the meaning is more important than the rhyme, and partly because the lyrics are fairly unpredictable.” Al Moir, Country Music International

“……Faeber’s brand of country leans towards rock in its lack of steel guitar and its incorporation of some solid riffing, while it tips its hat to Cajun with its flourishes of accordion. But although much of this collection displays plenty of pace, Faeber excels with the slower material. She Reads Me Like A Book, particularly, exhibit’s a gutsy arrangement and some soulful backing vocals courtesy of Liannne Carroll. Another highlight is the cowboy lament, A Bottle Of Whiskey And A Woman For The Night, somewhat reminiscent of Robert Earl Keen as it ably combines a well crafted lyric with a sweet melody. No Small Comfort is an impressive offering and should win Faeber some new friends…” Piers Hawkins, Music Journalist

Waiting for the Texas Sun, Coyote, No Small Comfort and One Thing Right are all excellent late night, stick on the headphones and grab a glass of whiskey songs that set the imagination loose, but not necessarily the cowboy boots. For dancing there are probably only four or five picks, I Ain’t Living Like That which has already been spotted by Max Perry who has choreographed a dance to accompany its jolly strolling rhythm,) She Reads Me Like A Book, a gorgeous slow cha cha, Frontier Breakdown, a mid tempo country strutter, Runaway Hearts, a galloping jaunt just perfect for Dave Ingram’s Ridin’ and Fast Train, another versatile uptempo weaver. Of the other cuts the epic Elena has a beautiful Spanish musical feel to it and could easily attract attention on the floor if someone sets a dance to its haunting individuality, and Tire Tracks is a traditional uptempo trouble and tarmac tale that the likes of Hal Ketchum should be recording. A fine independent album, well sung, imaginatively and professionally recorded and worth a few bob of any country fan’s money. Steve Crosby, Linedancer Magazine Country Music News

“Recorded in the UK, No Small Comfort was composed entirely by Will. It’s an original but diverse blend of American styles comprising everything from rockin’ western swing to sexy cowboy ballads of the New West. Faeber’s rich baritone delivers the songs in a powerful, straightforward manner that allows the quality of his songwriting to really shine through. Although it is rooted in country, rock and blues his music never the less has a universal appeal.

In the short time since it’s release, No Small Comfort has garnered music critical success as well as receiving extensive radio airplay across the UK and Europe, it has also been chosen by line dance superstar Max Perry, who choreographed Will’s I Ain’t Living’ Like That, which appears on Linedance Fever 4.
